AiQin Cao

Born in a family with a long ceramic making history in Jingdezhen, Dr. AiQin Cao, followed her father to the kiln since childhood and was nicknamed as “the daughter of the Kiln Guardian”. Graduated from the Art and Design Institute of Communication University of China, she studied under the supervision of Professor DaoXing Zhang, a leading artist in traditional Chinese painting. In the early days, she was taught by ZhengSheng Yang, a specialist in Chinese seal carving, and the SongMao Zhang and YaFeng Xu, the leading national grandmasters in Chinese ceramic art.

Starting from traditional Chinese painting and seal carving, she mastered the painting on porcelains. She then applies the carving technique to ceramics and have developed her unique style.
